What We Install

Local NVR Systems (Network Video Recorder)

The right answer for most businesses with 4 or more cameras. PoE-cabled, 4K-capable, indefinite retention, no monthly fees, and you own the footage. We size the system for your space, run cabling cleanly, mount cameras for actual coverage (not just “up high somewhere”), and configure remote access from any phone or browser.

Cloud Cameras

Right for small offices, single-camera deployments, and most homes. We install and configure cloud cameras when they fit better than NVR — usually because the location does not support cabling, or because off-site footage backup matters more than monthly cost.

Hybrid Systems

The setup we recommend for most Palm Beach businesses: a local NVR for the bulk of cameras (long retention, no fees) plus one cloud-connected camera at the entrance for instant phone alerts and theft-resistant off-site backup. Best of both worlds.

Brands We Use

We are not locked to a single vendor. We pick the right hardware for the job:

  • Foscam, Agasio — small commercial and residential
  • Hikvision, Dahua — larger commercial NVR deployments
  • Reolink — budget-conscious projects with strong feature sets
  • Ubiquiti UniFi Protect — integrates with UniFi networking installs
  • Verkada — enterprise / multi-location with cloud aggregation

Cloud vs Local NVR — How to Decide

Quick version: businesses with 4+ cameras almost always come out ahead with local NVR (one-time cost vs $10/mo per camera forever, plus longer retention and ownership of footage). Single-camera homes are usually fine on cloud. We wrote a longer guide on this exact decision.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cameras do I need?

For a typical small business: entry/exit, register or front-of-house, back-of-house or stockroom, and parking. 4–8 cameras covers most situations. We will tell you honestly when you do not need more.

Will the cameras work if my internet goes down?

Local NVR systems keep recording during internet outages — that is one of their biggest advantages. Cloud cameras stop recording if internet is down.

Can I view cameras from my phone?

Yes. Both NVR and cloud systems include phone apps. We set up remote access during installation and walk you through it.

How long is footage kept?

For NVR, as long as your hard drive holds — we typically size for 60–180 days at standard quality. For cloud, retention is set by your subscription tier (commonly 30–60 days).

Do I need to drill into walls?

For NVR systems, yes — that is how we run cabling cleanly. We make the smallest holes possible and conceal cabling. For cloud cameras, often not.

What does it cost?

A 4-camera local NVR system starts around $1,200–$1,800 installed, depending on coverage. Cloud single-camera installs start around $300–$500 plus monthly subscription. We will quote in writing before any work starts.
