PBJ Analytics 1.6.0: Scheduled Reports Your Way, and a Custom Report Builder
PBJ Analytics 1.6.0 is out. This release is all about getting your numbers to come to you — on your schedule, in your inbox, cut exactly the way you want — and about opening up the full data behind every dashboard card.
Report processing: the weekly digest, grown up
Settings now has a Report processing section. The standard is the one you know — the previous 7 full days, weekly — but everything is adjustable: the window runs from 1 to 365 days, and the schedule can be daily, weekly on the day you pick, or monthly on the date you pick. Reports always end at yesterday, so a report never includes a half-finished day.
Reports can go to as many people as you like: list addresses comma-separated in the Recipients field and every one of them gets each report. And a row of checkboxes lets you leave any section out of the report — trim it down to just KPIs and top pages for the boss, while your own dashboard keeps showing everything.
Every generated report is also saved. The email links straight to its stored copy, and past reports stay viewable (and deletable) in the admin, pruned to a history limit you control. Upgrading from an earlier version? Your old digest settings carry over automatically — nothing double-sends, nothing needs re-enabling.
The Custom Report builder
A new Custom Report tab builds a report over any date range with any sections at any depth — every area of the dashboard is available, and each list can run up to 500 rows instead of the dashboard’s top 10. Each section carries its own CSV download. If your range reaches back past your raw-data retention, the report says exactly which engagement metrics are partial instead of quietly showing zeros.
Click any title on the dashboard
Every section title on the main dashboard is now a link. Click “Top pages” or “Countries” and you land in the Custom Report tab with that section preloaded in full detail for the same date range.
Pie charts that add up
Doughnut charts — Channels, Devices, New vs returning, Bot categories — now label every slice with a whole-number percentage, allocated so the chart always totals exactly 100%. Legend and tooltip both.
Upgrading
Upload the new zip over the old plugin (or use the one-click update if your license key is saved) — the database migrates itself on first load. All settings and collected data are preserved.
