Why not just hard-block the country?

A hard geo-block hides every page from people researching you, every product from a journalist writing about you, every article from a search engine that would have ranked you. PBJ Geo Viewer is the opposite approach: blocked visitors see your real site — every product page, every article, every category — only the interactive controls are disabled. You give up nothing except the one thing you couldn’t fulfill anyway: the transaction.

What it does

New in 1.5.0 — a guided, five-step Settings screen. Each step sits in its own numbered card that explains what it does in plain English: choose your mode and countries, choose what view-only visitors can’t do, choose what they see, set exemptions, then test your setup with the built-in diagnostics panel.

Block by IP too. A wildcard IP blacklist blocks specific visitors regardless of country: exact IPs, CIDR ranges, or wildcards like 203.0.113.*.

Easy country picking. A filterable checkbox list with select-all and a live count. Allowlist or blocklist, your choice — pick which countries get the full interactive experience, or invert it and restrict only a handful.

Everything blocked in one move: WooCommerce purchases, every major form plugin, comments, registration and login — enforced across page loads, AJAX and the REST API, while administrators and editors can always sign in from anywhere.

Two free geo-detection methods, no API keys

Cloudflare’s CF-IPCountry header is read instantly when present (free, no setup, no rate limit). Sites not behind Cloudflare fall back to a free IP-to-country lookup, cached for 24 hours per IP so the same visitor is never looked up twice. Logged-in editors and admins are always exempt, and an IP allowlist (with CIDR support) lets you whitelist your office or VPN to test as a real visitor without locking yourself out.
