PBJ Analytics 1.7.0: See the Actual Search Queries
PBJ Analytics 1.7.0 is out, and it answers the question every site owner asks first: what did people actually search to find me?
The actual search queries — retrieved, not guessed
Since around 2013, every major search engine strips the keywords out of the referrer it sends your site. Your analytics — any analytics — only ever learns that a visitor came from Google, never the words they typed. The engines do record which queries led to your site, and each one reports them to verified site owners through its own webmaster API. PBJ Analytics 1.7.0 connects to those APIs and pulls the list for you: Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Yandex Webmaster are all supported.
Each connected engine gets its own “Search queries” card on the dashboard showing real keywords with clicks and impressions, a section in the Custom Report tab (up to 500 rows), and a section in your scheduled email reports.
Privacy stance unchanged
This is strictly retrieve-only, and it is off by default. The outbound request carries just your property name, a date range, and the credential you pasted — no visitor data, no traffic data, nothing else. Leave an engine unconfigured and the plugin makes zero requests to it. Every engine has a collapsible step-by-step explainer right in Settings covering how to connect it and why it works this way, and connection problems are reported in plain English instead of failing silently.
