PBJ CRM 7.83 — a new default icon
PBJ CRM 7.83 gives the CRM its own icon: money, a calendar, people and a clock in red on black, used as the logo, browser-tab icon and app icon when you have not set your own.
PBJ CRM 7.83 is out — a free update for everyone who owns PBJ CRM 7.x. It gives the CRM its own icon, so a site that has not set a logo or a favicon still looks finished. There is no database change; take a backup before you update, as always.
A new default icon
The new PBJ CRM icon shows four signs of the work the CRM keeps track of — money, a calendar, people and a clock — in red on black.
- The logo, when you have not set one. With no logo under Theming, the icon sits across the top of the CRM and above the sign-in card, in place of the “PBJ CRM” lettering.
- A browser-tab icon. CRM pages now carry a favicon when nothing else on the page has printed one, in every size browsers ask for, so the tab is no longer blank.
- An Apple home-screen icon. Adding the CRM to an iPhone or iPad home screen shows a proper icon: your app icon if you uploaded one, then your logo, then the PBJ CRM icon.
- The installable app. The app’s home-screen icon, its install details and the app sign-in use the new icon by default. On Android, the icon is shrunk onto black so all four signs stay inside the circle Android trims icons to.
Your own icons still win
The PBJ CRM icon is only the fallback. If you have set the WordPress Site Icon, your theme’s own favicon, a logo under Theming, or an uploaded app icon, those keep showing exactly as before — as does another plugin’s favicon.
