PBJ CRM 8.15 suite update — smarter Convert+ and Item+, project settings, Events & miles, and Google Drive / OneDrive storage

PBJ CRM 8.15, PBJ Events 7.23, PBJ Helpdesk 7.38.5 and PBJ RingCentral 7.27 are out: Convert+ and Item+ carry files and assign to you, projects get their own settings, Insight gains an Events & miles report, and PBJ Files can keep older files in Google Drive or OneDrive.

Today’s update to the PBJ CRM suite is out for every licensed site: PBJ CRM 8.15, PBJ Events (Dispatch & Appointments) 7.23, PBJ Helpdesk 7.38.5 and PBJ RingCentral 7.27. Updates arrive through the usual plugin update screen; nothing needs reconfiguring.

Convert+ and Item+

  • Assign to starts on you. Converting a conversation or record fills in the person doing the converting; Change or Clear picks someone else.
  • Item+ has a Type choice — All, Tickets, Events, Tasks, Projects and Invoices. Adding a text, chat, iMessage or email to a task, project or invoice copies its photos and files across, adds the conversation’s history as a note, and files the conversation. Tick Only media and attachments to bring just the files.
  • Convert+ brings files along to tasks, notes and other records, not only tickets.
  • Miles where they belong. Closing a To-them event asks for round-trip miles only when the customer’s record has none (including a field imported from Square), and Convert+ from an event asks the same way.

Settings that match the page you are on

  • The gear on Projects opens new Projects settings: default stages, who owns a new project, client sharing and approval defaults, and an option to show Waiting on client while a stage awaits approval.
  • The unified Inbox gear opens Inbox behaviour (what stays in the inbox, what Sorted does); each individual inbox opens its own folders; Triage carries the general settings and Group settings.
  • Connected accounts in wp-admin is now a short list with one Set up / Manage button per account and numbered, guided steps.

Insight › Events & miles

A new report lists every event in the period, who has it and the miles recorded when it closed, with totals and miles by person — each person sees only the events they may see.

Google Drive and OneDrive for PBJ Files

PBJ Files can now keep older files and photos in Google Drive or OneDrive, as well as S3-style drives. Connect it from Connected accounts; Drive access is limited to the files your website itself creates.
