PBJ CRM 8.41 suite update — the apps show what the site shows, dates in your own time zone, and a sturdier upload

Today’s update to the PBJ CRM suite is out for every licensed site: PBJ CRM 8.41, PBJ Helpdesk 7.41.16, PBJ Invoicing 7.52, PBJ Events (Dispatch & Appointments) 7.33 and PBJ RingCentral 7.38. Updates arrive through the usual plugin update screen and nothing needs reconfiguring. None of them changes the database.

The PBJ CRM apps show what the site shows

  • Contacts, businesses, tasks, projects, tickets, visits, invoices, estimates and recurring profiles carry the same details in the app as on their pages — second phone and email, website and address, ticket SLA times, who is doing a visit, deposits and conversions on a document, and each record’s History or Activity.
  • Text and call threads, voicemail, iMessage, Google Chat and email can be read and acted on from the app: mark read, reply, link, file, Convert+ and Item+.
  • Amounts and labels read the way the site writes them (“$50.00 · Cash”), and the app can keep a ticket’s replies, an invoice’s lines and payments and a visit’s notes on the phone for search. Vault records stay behind the Vault lock.
  • Phone notifications are sealed for each phone and open at that phone’s own privacy setting. Money is never in a notification, and the Live Activity names the customer.

Dates in your own time zone

  • Date-only values — project start and finish, stage, task and ticket due dates, invoice issue, due and next-run dates — no longer show the day before or after in time zones away from UTC.
  • Times on texts, calls, voicemail, inbox messages and bookings are shown in your own time zone instead of GMT.

Fixes

  • Some files would not upload on hosts whose security filter blocked the upload (“That piece of the file did not send”). The upload now resends the piece in a form the filter accepts and carries on.
  • The phone Agenda opened on a wide screen no longer asks the server for the agenda over and over; the desktop Agenda shows “Counts unavailable” instead of loading for ever when its counts cannot be read.
  • On the owner’s “Everyone” Agenda, a claimed group ticket shows who has it instead of looking unassigned.

Full details are in each plugin’s changelog: PBJ CRM, PBJ Helpdesk, PBJ Invoicing, PBJ Events and PBJ RingCentral.
