PBJ Essentials Changelog (v1.0.0): Seven Free Site Tools in One Plugin
PBJ Essentials is our free WordPress toolbox: seven small, complete site tools in one plugin, each switched off by default — no lock icons, no nags. Every module is a working feature on its own, and each one has a full PBJ plugin available when you outgrow it (the module automatically stands down when its bigger sibling is active).
Version 1.0.0 — initial release
The seven modules:
- HTTPS & Cache — 301-redirect http to https (loop-safe) and serve public pages from LiteSpeed edge cache with conservative exclusions.
- Region Blocker — make your site view-only for visitors from one country: no purchases, comments, or registrations. Pages render fully for everyone, including search engines and AI crawlers.
- Basic Forms — unlimited simple forms with honeypot, time-trap, and rate-limit spam protection. Submissions are emailed to you with Reply-To set to the sender.
- Page Login Lock — restrict any Page to logged-in users with a custom message; restricted pages are also hidden from search, feeds, REST, and embeds.
- Content Push — push posts and pages to a live site over the REST API, matched by slug so reruns are safe.
- 3-Day Traffic — a lightweight, server-side traffic dashboard: aggregate daily pageviews by path and referrer, no cookies and no personal data, pruned after three days.
- License Server — a single-product license server: issue keys and serve a key-gated update manifest with signed download links.
Plus a Modules screen to switch each tool on or off, a built-in User Guide, and a Feedback form. When you need more than a module offers, the full versions are PBJ SEO, PBJ Geo Viewer, PBJ Form Builder, PBJ Access Control, PBJ Studio Sync, PBJ Analytics, and PBJ License Manager.
