PBJ Orders — Changelog
Current release: 1.1.1 (October 2026)
1.1.1 — 25 October 2026
No settings change. Needs PBJ CRM 8.19 or later.
- Checkout through PBJ Invoicing. When PBJ Invoicing is installed and its Square (access token and location) or Stripe (secret key) connection is set up, Purchase now and cart checkout send the buyer to Square’s or Stripe’s own secure payment page for exactly the order total — the same way an invoice is paid. No Square Application ID or Stripe publishable key is needed.
- Shop settings › Payments reads “Connected in PBJ Invoicing” for that connection, and the setup guide counts Payments as done.
- Paid only when the processor says so. An order is marked paid only after Square or Stripe confirms the payment, never on the return link alone. A buyer who pays and closes the tab is picked up by an hourly check, and a payment becomes an order exactly once however often the return link or the check runs.
- Paid hosted orders get the same Ledger entry, Help Desk ticket, CRM contact and stock decrement as a card payment, and the buyer lands on the order-received page.
- Taking the card on your own page still works when the Square Application ID (or Stripe publishable key) is filled in.
1.1.0 — 25 October 2026
Settings DB 2 (adds the stock history table). Needs PBJ CRM 8.19 or later.
- Orders is a CRM tab. Orders sits directly right of Money in the PBJ CRM portal, with four rows: Orders, Forms, Inventory and Shop settings. The wp-admin menu keeps Setup only; its old screens open the matching CRM rows.
- Inventory. Every item and option with its stock, low-stock level and status, with Adjust stock (received, count correction, damaged or lost, returned) and a stock history of every movement — orders, refund restocks and hand adjustments.
- Buy now, Add to cart, or both per item; with the cart switched off every item falls back to Buy now.
- Shop settings is a five-step setup: Store basics, Payments, Cart, Tax and shipping, Order emails.
- Payments use the gateway connected in PBJ CRM › Connected accounts; no payment keys are typed into PBJ Orders.
- PBJ Ledger: each paid order posts one balanced entry (shipping to “Shipping income”); each refund posts its share in reverse.
- PBJ Help Desk: every order or form submission opens exactly one ticket, routed to the form’s group.
- Insights: two reports, Order sales and Inventory levels.
- Client portal: My orders, with “Get help with this order”.
- Groups: owners see everything; managers see ungrouped rows and their own groups; employees see their own groups only.
- Import from Forms+: a one-time copy of PBJ Forms+ forms, products, orders, submissions, coupons and settings; Forms+ data is never changed.
- Shop settings › Cart says “made for you” only for the cart page PBJ Orders created.
1.0.0 — 24 October 2026
- First release. The PBJ Forms+ engine (forms, products with variations and stock, cart, checkout, orders, refunds, coupons, tax, shipping, anti-bot) runs inside the PBJ CRM Orders module; PBJ Forms+ is not required.
- The older Forms+ shortcodes (
[pbj_form],[pbj_shop],[pbj_product]and[pbj_cart]) are answered by PBJ Orders when PBJ Forms+ is not active.
