PBJ Suite — 12 August 2026: the catch-up release
Four updates went out together today: PBJ CRM 1.28.0, PBJ Helpdesk 2.19.0, PBJ Invoicing 1.18.0 and PBJ Dispatch & Appointments 1.6.0. This is the catch-up release — not one big idea but a run of things the suite has been owed, each small enough to have waited and useful enough that it should not have.
The biggest change is where you land. The Calendar group is now the Dashboard, and it is the first thing you see: Triage first for administrators, the Today queue first for everyone else, with the Calendar right beside them. Nothing moved out of reach — Tasks and Tickets keep their own screens. And the help desk’s half of the same tidy-up: Mail has moved out of the Tickets sections entirely. The mail client now lives in Communication ▸ Help desk inbox only, instead of turning up as a pill wherever tickets were.
The calendar itself learned two things. You can now subscribe to it: a personal, private link that Google Calendar or Apple Calendar can follow — your own tasks, tickets, visits and invoice dates, updating on their own, with a new link (or none at all) one press away on the Calendar screen. And the List view now shows the newest day first, with a toggle to flip it that remembers your choice.
People and businesses can carry photos. They are stored privately inside the CRM — never the public Media Library — and only shown to people allowed to see the record.
Two new manager screens arrive as a pair. Manage tasks in the CRM lists every task your rung allows, with filters, bulk done and reopen, and hand-to-someone using the same roster as Manage tickets. Manage visits & appointments in Dispatch mirrors it for bookings — filters by kind, stage and assignee, bulk hand-to-somebody, and a bulk cancel that refuses per row where a booking’s own path has no cancelled step.
Invoicing fixed the button people actually press. The pay button is readable before you touch it — its label colour is now chosen by real contrast arithmetic against your accent colour, on the page, the PDF and the email alike. And the “How to pay” heading says the right thing: with an online payment button on the page the manual methods read “Additional ways to pay”; with no online option it stays “How to pay”.
And a handful of touches that finish jobs started earlier: the phone app icon now has a shipped default, so a site that never uploads one gets a proper CRM icon instead of whatever the phone invents; tickets, tasks and invoices each carry their own colour on the calendar and cards, adjustable on Settings ▸ Theming and readable on every preset; and the names you chose for visits and appointments now reach every screen — the last nine hard-coded words follow your words.
