PBJ Suite — 15 August 2026: seventeen fixes to how it looks, and one to how it looks on a phone

Anything that sits above the page now follows your theme
The “What your customer sees” preview was drawing near-black writing on a near-black card — unreadable, and it was never really about that one box. Dialogs, overlays and pop-up panels were each choosing their own colours instead of reading yours. They all read yours now, on all sixteen looks, light and dark, and there are two new shared colours behind them: the shading behind a dialog, and the line around one.
The menu is tidier and says less twice
The empty second row under the menu has gone, and the small grey dot with it. A screen no longer repeats the tab you are standing on — no more “Tasks” under Tasks — but it keeps a heading where the heading says something the tab does not.
Reports is now its own item in the menu and gathers reports from every add-on you have installed. Setup is now Settings, with the setup checklist inside it, and it gathers each installed add-on’s own settings in one place. Nothing appears for an add-on you have not installed. Your profile has moved to your name in the top bar, and your logo is now a link to your own home screen.
Today’s list is colour-coded again
Every row is coloured by what it is — task, ticket, invoice, visit — and that coding used to disappear on exactly the day it mattered most, the day everything was overdue. How late something is now shows as a second stripe instead of painting over the first.
Clicking a task or a deal in Today opens it, too. Those two addresses existed and led nowhere. And a link that genuinely leads nowhere now says so, instead of quietly returning you to the home screen.
Four new looks and six colour palettes
Glass, Material, Florida and Rustic join the styles already there, and there is now a separate colour choice — ocean, forest, sunset, berry, slate or clay — that works on top of whichever look and whichever of light or dark you have chosen. Every combination was checked for readable contrast before it shipped.
The theming settings page is now collapsible groups rather than one long wall, and there is a switch to carry your theme into the WordPress admin as well.
1.43.1 — a tick box is not a box you type in
Reported within the hour, on a phone: a task’s words came down the screen one character at a time beside a tall coloured stripe, with the rest of the screen empty.
In the simplified phone interface every box you can type in is given the full width of the screen, which is right — and a tick box was being treated as one of them, so it took the whole line and left nothing for the row beside it. Tick boxes and radio buttons are tick-box sized again, on every list that has them, not only the task list. Companies & People draws thirteen of them on one screen and every one was affected.
